Initiates and maintains the hygiene/ cleanliness of the patients, the patient's environment, and; but not limited to, the IV Therapy environment.
Promotes and fosters an environment of comfort and safety for patients and visitors.
Identifies and communicates appropriate patient data to members of the interdisciplinary team.
Collects and records patient related data through the performance of direct care tasks.
Demonstrates continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in Evidence Based tasks.
Utilizes appropriate health and safety to protect both the patient and staff.
Demonstrates competency in, but not limited to, the following on the IVT (refer to McLeod Health Medical-Surgical Technician/Extern II/Extern III/Graduate Extern Competency Checklist):
Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion and respect for all patients, families, and visitors.
Performs general transportation and courier duties as directed.

Required Skills
POSITION TYPE: Full time 72 hours’ biweekly
SCHEDULE: Operating hours Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
EDUCATION: Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED from accredited school ~or~ successful completion of WIN Testing~or~ completion of McLeod approved Transition to Work Program. Medical Surgical Technician training or State Certification as a Nursing Assistant.
ORIENTATION/TRAINING: If you are considered for employment; you must be available to complete this training schedule during your first week: Monday 7:30am-5:00pm; Tuesday 8:30am-5:00pm; Thursday 8:00am to 12:00pm; and Friday 8:30am to 12:30pm.
