JOB SUMMARY

EEG INTR-OPERATIVE SPECIALIST - NEURODIAGNOSTICS

This EEG INTR-OPERATIVE SPECIALIST is responsible for the administration of  neurologic tests. This individual will be expected to be flexible with their schedule in order to meet the demands of the OR.

1. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
2. Responsible for administration of neurologic tests, not limited to EEG, Evoke Potentials, Nerve Conductions.
3. Works closely with clinical staff and neurologists.
4. Gathers patient’s medical history, provides explanation for testing, and assure the patient is prepared for procedure.
5. Reports any findings to physician for further analysis.  
6. Perform all other duties as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULE 80 hours bi-weekly 

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Neurodiagnostics: Services provided by technologists include EEG, Seizure Monitoring, Sleep Studies, MSLTs, Nerve Conduction Studies, Evoked Potentials and Intra-Operative Monitoring. 

SKILLS REQUIRED High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

CPR certification

IOM Certification with in 18 months of hire.
