  • Responsibilities

    The Institutional Review Board Coordinator, under limited supervision, coordinates and oversees all technical, operational, and regulatory issues associated with human research protections and compliance for McLeod Health. The Coordinator facilitates educational programs and assists Primary Investigators and staff, and provides direct consultation, facilitation, and decision support to the Institutional Review Board on regulatory and compliance issues pertaining to the conduct of human research.

    Minimum Education:

    BA with experience in Research and/or clinical experience is highly desired. Training in a medical or allied health field is desired.

    Specialization/Certification: CIP or CIM certification preferred.

    Work Experience: Minimum of 5- 8 years of related experience in and a thorough knowledge of Institutional Review Board practices and relevant federal regulations and guidance is required.  To include but not limited to advising, managing protocol review, education, recordkeeping, reporting, formulating policies and procedures, and assuring compliance with all internal and external regulatory agencies and organizations.

    Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting at desk, movement throughout the department and McLeod buildings.  Ability to use a computer and telephone.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of a High School diploma; BS/BA is preferred or 1+ years of sales/event experience
    • Prior technology, sales, hospitality or event planning experience a plus
    • Technical aptitude and proficiency with computer software and programs
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    _ _WORK ENVIRONMENT

     

    HOTEL

    Work is performed in a hotel/convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust.  The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes.  Team members will use high-end audio visual equipment and electrical components, and will be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders.  Team members may be asked to work in multiple hotel locations.  Working times will include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.   Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by PSAV based on an individual hotel or a representation of hotels in that city or area.
