    Job Description

    PSC Biotech is a leading process consulting and contract engineering company. For over 20 years we have been engaged in providing laboratory support, project, process, engineering and validation support to top-tier pharmaceutical and biotech companies.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Review equipment MTBF and identify areas for improvements 
    • Review Equipment setup in CMMS and determine best fit means to improve accuracy 
    • Develop strategies for long term assets based on asset criticality with equipment owners and maintenance 
    • Lead the development of asset specific preventative maintenance strategies, predictive maintenance strategies, cost of ownership with maintenance team 
    • Carry out detailed Asset management and life cycle analysis.  
    • Analyze CMMS data to improve asset utilization by increasing uptime, mitigating defect risks, and reducing the likelihood of failures.  
    • Perform reviews of spare parts with asset owners and maintenance to ensure asset attributes are reflect criticality of asset to production and the operation 
    • Develop recommendations with CMMS data on options to increase asset reliability to maintenance and senior engineering leadership.  
    • Assist in day-to-day technical support for the maintenance and engineer by providing direction to maintenance and engineering teams 
    • Create operational and maintenance tasks focused on reducing the cost of unreliability to maintain the asset as safe and reliable.  
    • Safety and Quality as a way-of-life mindset at all times.

     

    Requirements

    • Degree preferred (Chemical or Mechanical engineering); MBA an asset.  

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering design and operations  

    • Knowledge of complex engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.  

    • Experience working with preventive and predictive maintenance techniques an asset. 

    • Working knowledge of Maximo or a similar system

    • Experienced with Maximo CMMS 

    • Experienced with packaging lines (Solid Dose & Vial Packaging)

    • Familiar with FMEA process 

    • Previous experience of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry 

    • Strong attention to details  

    • Excellent communication skills  

    • Ability to work collaboratively and productively in a team environment.  

    • Ability to work on tasks with minimal direction or oversight 

    • Ability to meet deadline without impacting quality of the deliverable
