    We are looking for an Associate Test Engineer to join our team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Create Design of Experiments and verification & validation test strategies for bioprocess technologies (bioreactors, mixers, consumable products), providing technical support and leadership with cross-functional teams.
    • Execute test cases and conduct analysis of the test results to ensure complete verification of the requirements and validation of product performance.
    • Procure materials, build working samples, and test prototypes/products for use in the biopharmaceutical industry (e.g. Xcellerex bioreactors, mixers, single-use consumable bag/impellers).
    • Conduct tests on mechanical systems, including our Xcellerex XDR bioreactors, analyze results, and author reports.
    • Analyze results, author reports, and present findings to project teams and leadership.
    • Apply assembly and test skills with attention to details. Think out-of-box to discover product anomalies and help improve the design, test efficiencies and effectiveness.
    • Operate equipment using fundamental knowledge of best test and measurement practices, such as with environmental testing, aging studies, data acquisition, tensile/load testing, general evaluation, and measurement diagnostics.
    • Generate, review and update the technical content of drawings, engineering specifications, reports, and other documents associated with the engineering process, and participate in formal engineering design reviews.
    • Provide feedback to the engineering team not limited to description of test methods, deviations from expected test results, and highlight of product non-compliances and risks.
    • Engage in troubleshooting issues in the lab and work to resolution

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or related field
    • 0-2 years’ post academic experience in engineering, bioprocess or related field
    • Experience with software used in engineering design and bioprocess applications.
    • Proficiency with six sigma design of experiments
    • Understanding of Bioprocess Engineering principals and methodology.
    • Awareness of GMP and government regulations related to drug manufacturing.
    • Strong Interpersonal skills to work in a cross functional team to complete necessary testing
    • Ability to think out-of-box to discover new and novel ways to promote test methods and analyze results.
    • The individual enjoys rolling up their sleeves to get the job done either independently or in a team environment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
