Job description
As a Scrub Technician, you will play a crucial role in the operating room by providing support to surgical teams during various medical procedures. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing and maintaining a sterile environment, ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are available, and assisting the surgical team as needed. The Scrub Technician plays a vital role in promoting patient safety, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to the overall efficiency of surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Sterile Setup: Prepare and organize the operating room by ensuring all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile and readily available for use.
Assistance to Surgeons: Assist surgeons and other members of the surgical team by passing instruments, supplies, and other necessary items during procedures.
Maintain Sterility: Monitor and maintain the sterile field throughout surgical procedures, taking appropriate action if contamination is suspected or detected.
Equipment Management: Perform regular checks on surgical equipment to ensure functionality and cleanliness, and notify appropriate personnel of any issues.
Collaboration: Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication and teamwork in the operating room.
Adherence to Protocols: Strictly adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and hospital policies to ensure a safe and sterile surgical environment.
Inventory Management: Assist in the tracking and management of surgical instruments and supplies, notifying the appropriate personnel when restocking is required.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, instrument counts, and other relevant information as required by hospital policies.

- Must have: BLS certification & CST Certification
-Must live 50 miles away from hospital to qualify for Travel stipend
- Please have +5 years of experience in OR we mostly do total joint, heart, vascular, robotics and some feet
