Job Description:
As a CT Technologist, you are responsible for performing diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scans on patients using specialized equipment. Your role will involve preparing patients for procedures, operating CT scanners, and ensuring high-quality images are obtained. You will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely imaging services. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care and safety.
Requirements:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Computed Tomography (CT) Certification
- CT Technologist CA licensure
- Minimum of 1 year CT Tech experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans on patients by positioning them correctly and operating CT equipment. Follow established protocols and adjust scan parameters as required for different anatomical areas and diagnostic purposes. Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
- Prepare patients for CT scans, explaining the procedure, answering questions, and addressing any concerns. Obtain relevant medical history and assess for any contraindications or special considerations. Administer contrast agents as ordered, ensuring appropriate dosage and patient response monitoring.
- Operate CT scanners and associated equipment, ensuring proper functioning and image quality. Perform regular quality control checks on the equipment, report malfunctions, and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the technology and software used in CT imaging.
- Capture high-quality CT images, reviewing them for clarity, positioning, and diagnostic value. Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to ensure appropriate image interpretation and discuss any additional imaging needs.
Salary: $649.04 per day
