Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team at [Hospital Name] in San Ysidro, CA. As a Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional mental health care to our patients. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients, including reviewing medical history, performing mental status examinations, and identifying any underlying psychiatric conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnostic findings, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive care plans that may include therapy, medication management, and other interventions.
• Prescribe and manage medications as appropriate, adjusting dosages and treatment plans based on patient progress and medication efficacy. Educate patients about potential side effects and benefits of prescribed medications.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients as needed, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to address various mental health issues.
• Participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMRs) in compliance with hospital policies and legal regulations.
• Offer guidance and education to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, program development, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance the quality of psychiatric care provided.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.
• Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
• A valid California medical license and DEA registration.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Salary: $231,000.00 - $247,500.00 per year
