Job Description:

The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech performs advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, peripheral vascular procedures, and structural heart procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Cardiac Cath Lab Technicians are responsible for scrubbing, monitoring, and assisting providers as requested.

Requirements:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
• Minimum of 2 years Cath lab experience and/or Interventional Radiology (IR) experience, ACLS, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, (RCIS) certification, 2 years Cath lab and/or Interventional Radiology (IR) experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Preparation: Ensure patients are properly prepared for catheterization procedures, explaining the process and addressing any questions or concerns.
• Equipment Setup and Operation: Set up and operate cath lab equipment, including fluoroscopy and imaging systems, to assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Assistance During Procedures: Provide assistance to the medical team during catheterization procedures, passing instruments, and anticipating the needs of the physician and nursing staff.
