Job Description:
****As a Physical Therapist at our Inglewood facility, you will play a pivotal role in improving the physical well-being and quality of life for our patients. You will evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to restore and enhance patients' mobility, reduce pain, and promote overall physical health. Collaboration with fellow healthcare professionals and maintaining a patient-focused approach are integral aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough patient evaluations, including medical history review and objective tests, to assess musculoskeletal conditions, functional limitations, and treatment needs.
- Develop customized treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals, incorporating a variety of therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities to promote self-management and prevent re-injury.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, occupational therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information.
- Stay current with industry trends, research, and best practices in physical therapy to provide evidence-based care.
- Adhere to ethical standards, legal regulations, and facility policies in all patient interactions and treatment plans.
- Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and contribute to the growth of the department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active California state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- CPR certification.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy and patience in working with patients of diverse backgrounds and conditions.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
