About the Role:

Mountain View Academy in Denver, CO is looking for a passionate and dedicated Closing Support Teacher to join our team! Mountain View Academy, a Reggio-based preschool near Lakeside Amusement Park, is looking to add an end-of-day closing teacher to our team. The hours are 2:30 PM- 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and support students during closing hours to ensure a safe and structured environment

Assist with homework help, tutoring, and academic enrichment activities

Facilitate engaging after-school activities and programs for students

Communicate effectively with lead teachers and staff regarding student progress and behavior

Maintain accurate attendance records and dismissal procedures

Enforce school policies and positive behavior management strategies

Coordinate with parents and guardians during student pick-up

Requirements:

Level 2 on PDIS required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred

Prior experience working with young children in a childcare setting

Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and families

Ability to pass a background check in accordance with Colorado state requirements

CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Reliable, patient, and enthusiastic team player with a student-first mindset

$18-$21/hour. Eligible for 1 hour of PTO for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours within a year.
