The World Equestrian Center – Ocala is seeking focused and service-minded Food Runners to support the opening team of Polo Pony , our elevated American cuisine concept located within the prestigious Equestrian Manor. This role is ideal for hospitality professionals who excel in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering refined, timely service that enhances the guest experience.
As a Food Runner at Polo Pony, you will serve as a vital link between the culinary and front-of-house teams, ensuring that each dish is delivered with precision, elegance, and attentiveness. Your efficiency, communication, and commitment to excellence will reflect the World Equestrian Center’s core values of Quality, Class, and Distinction.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver plated dishes from the kitchen to guests with accuracy, grace, and attention to presentation.
Communicate effectively with servers and chefs to ensure timely and coordinated service.
Confirm order accuracy and accommodate special requests or dietary modifications.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo stations and service corridors.
Assist with table setups, clearing, and resetting as needed.
Provide support during private dining and special events, ensuring flawless execution.
Uphold all safety, sanitation, and food handling standards.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in all guest-facing interactions.
Anticipate service needs and respond promptly to team requests.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities
Prior experience in upscale or fine dining environments preferred.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Familiarity with menu items, ingredients, and service etiquette.
ServSafe Certification preferred.
