Responsibilities
- Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive physical and developmental assessments to identify motor, mobility, and functional impairments.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized, age-appropriate treatment plans and goals in collaboration with the child's family and the interdisciplinary team.
- Therapeutic Intervention: Provide skilled therapy services using creative, play-based, and evidence-based interventions to improve gross motor skills, strength, balance, coordination, and functional mobility.
- Family Education: Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic activities and home exercise programs to promote carryover and long-term success.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the electronic health record.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with a team of pediatricians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and educators to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
- Equipment & Devices: Recommend and educate on the use of adaptive equipment, orthotics, and assistive devices to improve function and independence.
