Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Unique Growth Opportunity (PTA License Required)

    Marino Physiotherapy | Knoxville, TN

Are you a PTA who wants more than a routine PTA job? This is NOT your typical PTA position.

Marino Physiotherapy is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our growing outpatient orthopedic clinic in Knoxville. This role offers mentorship, hands-on learning, and a clear path for professional learning and growth. Work directly with experienced clinicians in a supportive, upbeat environment focused on quality care - not rushed volume.

Ideal for PTAs who want to keep learning, expand their skills, and be part of something special.

If you’re ready for a better career opportunity, we’d love to meet you.

    What Makes This Role Different

This is not a “thrown into a caseload and hope you survive” position.

This is a development-focused role designed to help you grow step-by-step with mentorship, training, and real clinical exposure.

    Your Initial Role Includes:

Clinical support / treatment / tech duties

Administrative support and patient flow coordination

    Documentation assistance / scribing

    Hands-on learning beside experienced clinicians

    Weekly education and skill-building sessions

    Direct one-on-one mentorship

As your skills progress, you will transition into increasing PTA treatment responsibility and be paired with a PT to help manage a shared caseload.

    Our Treatment Model

    Unlike many clinics:

Every patient is seen 1-on-1 each visit

PTAs receive regular collaboration, guidance, and progression planning

    Team-based care is the norm

    Quality and outcomes come first

This creates a strong learning environment where PTAs can continue developing instead of feeling professionally isolated.

Who This Role Is Perfect For

This role is especially ideal for PTAs who are:

Planning to pursue a PTA-to-PT bridge program

    Interested in advanced outpatient orthopedics

Wanting strong mentorship early in their career

Looking to specialize in niche programs

Passionate about becoming elite with patients

    Growth Opportunities / Specialty Tracks

Depending on interests and performance, future opportunities may include:

    Orthopedics / Sports Rehab

    Parkinson's disease Programs

    Balance / Fall Prevention

    Gait Training

    Amputee Rehab

    POTS / Autonomic Care

    Advanced musculoskeletal skill development

Preparation toward Musculoskeletal A.P.P. certification pathways

    What We’re Looking For

    Tennessee PTA license (or eligibility)

Previous Bachelors degree in related field (Kinesiology or Exercise Science Ideal!)

    Positive attitude and professionalism

    Coachable mindset

    Strong people skills

    Work ethic and dependability

Desire to grow clinically and personally

Pride in delivering great patient experiences

    Why Marino Physiotherapy?

    Boutique, patient-first model

    Mentorship and structured growth

    Weekly clinical education

    Advanced patient population

    Strong team culture

    Modern facility

    Direct access motivated patients

    A clinic where excellence matters

Location Knoxville - outdoor lifestyle, growing city, strong community, and access to the Smokies.
