    Job Purpose

    This role supports the Energy division by leading the design and optimization of utility-scale solar PV systems. You’ll be responsible for technical development, production modeling, and drawing packages that directly impact project performance, constructability, and preconstruction accuracy. Success in this role means delivering high-quality, scalable PV designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams and upholding KE’s commitment to Safety, People, Passion, and Performance.     What You’ll Do

    You’ll be part of a team that gets things done, works with purpose, and takes pride in the results. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

    • Develop PV system designs and energy models for utility-scale solar projects
    • Finalize BOMs and support estimating, purchasing, and preconstruction teams
    • Lead design improvement efforts and ensure implementation across future projects
    • Perform energy modeling in PVsyst and generate submittal packages
    • Design layouts including 1-lines, stringing, fencing, and site access plans
    • Coordinate closely with construction teams on constructability feedback
    • Interface with clients, third-party engineers, and vendors on technical requirements
    • Maintain drawing archives, CAD standards, and design documentation
    • Support multiple active and upcoming solar projects at various stages
    • Participate in client meetings and represent technical design leadership

    Qualifications

    You’re someone who shows up ready to work hard, learn fast, and contribute to a team that takes pride in doing things right. Successful candidates typically bring:

    • 3+ years of experience in PV solar design, construction management, or related engineering
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
    • Proficiency in PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, PV Case, and Microsoft Office
    • Familiarity with NEC, utility-scale PV system standards, and electrical permitting requirements
    • Ability to manage project files and perform detailed take-offs
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
    • PE license preferred, but not required
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
    • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record

    Pay Range

    We believe in paying for the value you bring to the team, and we aim to be competitive in every market we hire in.

    Pay Range: $85,000 – $115,000 per year plus performance incentives and advancement opportunities
