    overview

    Under the direction of the VP & CFO, the Sr. Grant Accountant & Analyst is responsible for managing & administering grants received by CCRC for the program area assigned. The position will also support the work of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team.

     

    Grant Accounting, Financial Reporting & Analysis (75%)

    Prepare monthly or quarterly grant administration duties, such as preparing and analyzing monthly invoices, cost and projection reports, financial statements, and other schedules for submission to funders/grantors.

    Perform monthly and year-end closing tasks including review of advance payments from funders, grant revenue and corresponding receivable/payable for cost reimbursement and fee-for-service contracts.

    Prepare grant budget adjustment requests (BARs) as required by funders/grantors. Work closely with Program Director through submission and approval.

    Prepare and monitor monthly cash flow projection. Communicate with funders/grantors regarding cash flow needs and issues where needed.

    Prepare and review budgets for annual refunding or new applications for grants/contracts. Work closely with Program Director and VP & COO through submission and approval. Ensure proper inclusion in Agency budget.

     

    Audits & Reviews (10%)

    Lead funder audits and contract reviews. Act as main fiscal liaison to funder by fielding questions, concerns, requests, etc. for program area and grants assigned.

    Prepare audit schedules and complete work assigned related to annual financial audit.

     

    Grant Administration (10%)

    Gain general understanding of all program areas of the agency to the degree which helps in managing the program area and grants assigned.

    Stay current and knowledgeable on accounting standards (GAAP, OMB, etc.), program area and agency contract funding terms & conditions (FT&C) and guidelines or regulations that relate to responsibilities. Research and prepare technical accounting solutions as needed when business issues arise.

     

    Minimum Required:

    Education: Bachelor's Degree with major in Accounting, Finance or related field.

    Experience: 6 or more years work experience in Accounting or Finance specifically with preparation of financial statements; working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
