    Position Summary:

    TheSoftware Engineer (SE)isamember of ahighly-motivatedteam. This rolewilldevelop, enhance, and sustaininnovative solutions to improve the customer experience.TheSEwillimplement complex softwarein accordancewith project requirements, UX design, and industry best practices.TheSEwill alsoreview designs andparticipate inmeaningful collaborationsessions on how to solve customerproblems andparticipate in determining scope for new projects.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work withScrum team to develop Spok’s newContact Centerthat will be a key component of our product offering.
    • Code, test, debug, document and maintain software applications using established coding standards and methodologies.
    • Participate in Scrum activities, perform code reviews, contribute to a high performing, growing team.
    • Ensure newsoftwaremeetsquality standards through writing unit and automated tests.
    • Troubleshoot, debug, resolve product issues as they arise.
    • Assist in designing interfaces to improve the user experience.
    • Support theapplication lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support).Follow established development, documentation, testing and deployment processes.
    • Gatherrequirements and suggest solutions; serve as an integrator between business needs and technology solutions.
    • Collaborate withproduct development team to plan new features.
    • Participatein planning and scoping meetings for futureprojects.
    • Work cross functionallyto resolve complex customer problems.
    • Responsible for managing and maintaining project and work backlog; able to re-prioritize tasks as the business deems appropriate.
    • Stay current with new technology trends.
    • Other duties may be assigned.

     

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and4years’ experience,or Master’s Degree in Computer Science and2years’ experience;orcomparable experience and/or training; orequivalent combination of education and experience.BS in Computer Science preferred.

     

    Basic Qualifications and Experience:

    • Must have Strong experience with C#, .NET
    • Experience developing API’s

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Experiencebuilding integratedContact Centerworkflows or applications
    • Understanding ofCTI (Computer Telephony Integration) and Contact Center API’sincluding:
      • Avaya: DMCC, TSAPI
      • Cisco: GED-188, TAPI, Finesse, EMAPI
      • Unify: ECMA-323 CSTA
    • Experience with GIT or other version control technologies
    • Experience with AWSor Azure
    • Experiencewithtesting(manual and automated)CTI/Contact Centerapplications
    • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work toward task completion
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Experience working in an Agile development team
    • Experience working in a Healthcare/clinical environment
    • Ability to identify, own, and solve problems independently or as part of a team
