    Location: This role will be working with products that are located at the FLIR facility in Billerica, MA. The candidate must be able to work onsite at that location most days of the week.

This role will be assisting with embedded software that is used in large industrial gimbal cameras that are attached to helicopters, airplanes, navy ships and more.     Summary of Job:

    Seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for our Sensor Systems team at the facility in Billerica, MA with strong backgrounds in both digital hardware (PCB) and FPGA designs. The candidate must be experienced at designing PCBs with embedded processors and high-speed interfaces as well as FPGA designs used in Gimbal and Handheld systems.

    Hardware Experience Desired:

    • CAD tools such as Mentor Graphics and PADs Logic.
    • Communication protocols: USB, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, RS232/RS422/RS485, CAN, ARINC, MIL-STD-1553.
    • High-speed interfaces: LVDS, MIPI, SERDES, PCIE Gen3/4, Aurora 8b/10b, CameraLink, Multi-gigabit transceivers
    • Video interfaces: HDMI, SMPTE, DisplayPort.
    • High speed memory interfaces DDRx and QDRx

    FPGA Experience Desired:

    • Experience with Xilinx 7-series FPGAs, MicroBlaze, and Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC.
    • Proficiency in VHDL
    • Proficiency in FPGA implementation, verification, simulation, timing, power analysis
    • Use of IP cores on FPGAs
