    Being in the Business Architecture Group the Data Modernization and Analytics Lead will have a visible role in the Enterprise Data Strategy, Analytics & Business Architecture team as well as major transformation initiatives at. As a business function, responsible for defining enterprise data vision & strategy for and delivering on enterprise-wide data capabilities across all business functions to drive resiliency, client solutions, efficiency, and enable the modernization to future state platform. Own the build out of team and methodologies through a practical coordinated approach across the enterprise. Work across a highly matrixed environment to tackle the most pressing challenges at the intersection of business, technology, and corporate functions.

    Focus areas will include exploring the data technology landscape for opportunities and disruptions, assessing new use cases, developing prototypes and pilots, assessing technology partners and vendors, developing business cases, and driving enterprise delivery. Investigates the use of analytics, data mining, big data, machine learning, graph databases, data visualization and other data technologies.

    Responsibilities:

    • Understand current and future enterprise data needs in the context of market dynamics, client requirements and apply insights to recommend short and/or long-term goals for data strategy
    • Apply deep understanding of the current business, industry context, data vendors and technologies, regulatory context, to develop future vision for enterprise-wide data capabilities and roadmap
    • Foster a culture of data entrepreneurship, reuse, and collaboration across business units
    • Align business driven data strategy with IT strategy including Cloud, on prem, distributed architectures
    • Drive innovation in data capabilities by using digital technologies including AI/ML, big data, data mining, data analytics to improve products and solutions
    • Lead workstreams and projects to craft data strategy & architecture artifacts to deliver encouraged business case and value proposition (risk, resilience, complexity, reuse, total cost of ownership etc.)
    • Generate innovative ideas for data capabilities, deliver tangible proof of concepts working in collaboration with various Business Units and IT
    • Develop a deep understanding of each business division’s strategy, business model, operating model, processes and educate functions on data strategy, data capabilities, technologies
    • Create effective working relationships and build alignment with business teams, and key subject matter experts
    • Collaborate with IT, businesses, and functional areas to craft and build balanced data solutions
    • Display an efficiency in applying frameworks and structure to “ill structured” problems and issues and making the aggressive decisions needed to address the enterprise and/or business divisions priorities
    • Synthesize analysis into clear recommendations and findings that add value
    • Provide expertise across the company to deliver mentorship and support on key challenges facing our clients
    • Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 10 years of related experience
    • Bachelor's degree preferred with master’s or equivalent experience
    • Deep expertise and proved track record in leading and delivering on sizable / enterprise and BU scale portfolio in data analytics, data solutions, cloud-based solutions, and enterprise data management
    • Clear understanding of investment life cycle (Trading, Portfolio construction, Post-trade, compliance, Middle Office, Performance etc.)
    • Strong solid understanding of different asset types (Equity, FI, Derivatives etc.), data domains (Reference, Trade, Index, Positions, Analytics etc.) is required.
    • Prior experience working in large financial ecosystems, service provider will be big plus
    • Experience in banking, capital markets, or financial services organizations preferred.
