  • Responsibilities

    Required skills and experience:

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics.

    2. 1-2 years of professional deal execution experience within a private equity, investment banking, transaction advisory or another financial institution.

    3. Desire to learn and execute on the business development and deal process from deal sourcing to initial screening to close of a transaction.

    4. Ability to work in an autonomous, fast moving environment.

    5. Ability to travel as needed.

    6. Direct experience with merger and acquisitions managing datasites, understanding acquisition deal processes, creating financial models, and/or grasping basic valuation principals.

    7. Experience managing data sites or diligence processes.

    Additional job details:

    1. Support the execution of WHG’s add-on affiliation transactions.

    2. Lead and perform deal-related analysis, including financial modeling and due diligence review.

    3. Generate scorecards evaluating add-on opportunities and summarize the information to the executive team.

    4. Support the executive team during deal structuring/negotiations, work with third-party diligence vendors, including accounting and legal counsel and interact with lenders as required.

    5. Develop in-depth investment memorandums and present to senior management regarding rationale of affiliation investments.

    6. Assist in the tracking of a robust pipeline of affiliation targets developed by the Vice President of M&A and Business Development through personal networking and leveraging the relationships of the executive team, Board of Directors and SCP.
