Conduct thorough analysis of drawings and specifications, ensuring required information is provided
Research selected products from a cost and constructability perspective
Solicit subcontractor pricing and bids for different trades in preparation of cost estimate
Review progress and construction documents for constructability. Lead and participate in discussion regarding alternate detail and materials for specific areas or trades
Provide and present estimating productions and scheduling.
Provide and present value engineering options and costs
Coordinate administrative staff in sending documents to vendors.
Qualifications
10+ years of Estimating experience on Heavy Highway, Bridge, Railroad projects
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience.
Working knowledge of takeoff and spreadsheet software. B2W estimating software and Project a plus
Ability to make decisions, work independently and coordinate estimating colleagues.
Ability to meet critical project deadline, willingness to coordinate and work as a Team Member.
