Seeking an energetic, forward-thinking environmental services project manager with strong technical experience and a professional engineering license who has experience with contaminated site redevelopment and risk-based corrective action environmental site closures. This individual will interact with clients and colleagues while managing fast-paced and challenging environmental projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Project Management, including, but not limited to developing proposals, contracting, leading project teams, forecasting, invoicing, and accounts receivable management.
- Delivering professional services on time and without error in accordance with local and state regulations and within the planned level of project profitability.
- Managing and executing environmental site assessments, groundwater monitoring programs, soil and groundwater remedial actions, environmental compliance auditing and permitting, and related environmental services with senior oversight.
- Making decisions independently and/or collaboratively on engineering or scientific problems and methods.
- Providing technical and operational direction with responsibility for delivering positive outcomes.
- Writing technical reports and related work products.
- Communicating with clients, third party, and regulatory agents regarding project status, schedules, and compliance issues.
- Adhering to client and corporate contract specifications in all activities including health, safety, security, and environment.
- Mentoring and developing staff.
- Contributing to business development activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering discipline required. Scientist can be considered.
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience required, including hands-on field and office based activities in environmental consulting (e.g., groundwater and soil assessments) with commercial and industrial projects, including reporting. Experience in South Florida is preferred.
- Must be well versed in water quality, environmental regulations, and environmental assessment/remediation.
- State of Florida Professional Engineering license required.
- Current OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER training a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.
- Must be detail-oriented and a team player with great communication, strong technical writing, analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
