  • Responsibilities

    Required skills and experience:

    ? Master’s Degree

    ? At minimum an individual with certification as a substance abuse counselor (CSAC) and 2 years’ experience working with children and/or adults (experience can include internships, volunteer work, etc.)

    ? 5 years’ experience in working with substance abuse/ co-occurring disorder clients.

    ? Licensed and active Licensed-Eligible with experience working with substance abuse/ co-occurring disorders preferred.

    ? The IOP coordinator must have previous experience leading substance abuse groups and we would prefer experience running an IOP program

     

     

    What you need to know:

    ? The IOP Coordinator Assist manages, oversees, and provides services in the Outpatient Substance Abuse Programs. The IOP Coordinator facilitates Intensive Outpatient Groups and is responsible for assisting with marketing the IOP program (also assists in the hiring, training, and supervising IOP staff.)

    1. Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, and address complaints. Communicate with referral sources, clients and families.

    2. Coordinate day to day operations of the IOP programs. Coordinate treatment with clients including assessments, admissions, authorizations, treatment planning, progress notes, con currents, discharge planning, random drug screening, linking client/family with appropriate resources and maintaining client records.

    3. Facilitate Groups, Individual, Family, Aftercare and Educational sessions, and document services.

     

    Knowledge of:

    • Child and/or Adult psychopathology and diagnostic categories

    • Substance Abuse diagnosis and treatment

    • Family systems

    • Treatment planning and implementation, reviewing, and updating of Person-Centered Plans.

    • Best Practices in clinical treatment interventions in substance abuse programs

    • Family systems and family dynamics

     

     

    Schedule: M-F in an office setting. Might be some evenings depending on their client's schedule.
