    Job Description

    the community is adding to our Business Affairs Team based in our New York Office. We are hybrid with three days a week in office.

    The Business Affiars Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing television, radio, interactive and video productions, balancing needs of clients with the desired outcome of the creative and legal advertising guidelines, working in tandem with the agency’s Production, Accounts, Finance and Creative Teams.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepares union and non-union commercial contracts; handles all union (SAG, AFTRA, AF of M, AICP, ASCAP, BMI, etc.) and non-union questions
    • Work closely with Producers in all business aspects of production, including reviewing bid packages, generating production estimates, issuing vendor purchase orders, and reconciling/closing production jobs upon completion (includes final cast)
    • Contracts vendors to ensure compliance with client production needs
    • Attends meetings pertaining to production to help ensure the viability of a concept to be produced and find ways to make the difficult easy and the impossible possible
    • Reviews creative decks and scripts for potential red flags or licensing issues
    • Secures legal clearances, negotiates terms, and prepares contracts for talent, stock footage licensing, music rights and other IP
    • Familiarity with social landscape and Business Affairs and SAG implications
    • Oversees insurance coverage for the production of commercials
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 4-6 years of experience as a Business Manager at a creative advertising agency
    • Strong working knowledge of SAG, AFTRA and AFM union and non-union contracts
    • Knowledge of music licensing, stock footage licensing and intellectual property licensing for broadcast and interactive media
    • Knowledge of AICP & AICE bid forms and production procedures and issues is a plus
    • A proven track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstration sound critical thinking skills and maintaining composure in stressful situations
    • Exceptional written, negotiation and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees, clients and vendors
    • Exceptional initiative, attention to detail and follow through skills

    Additional Information

    Compensation Range: $85,000 -$110,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.The Company anticipates the application deadline for this job posting will be 04/15/2024
