    Restoration Estimator - Portland, OR

    Salary $85,000-$105,000 – Depending on Experience - Full Benefits Package

    Key Responsibilities:

    Customer Service, Communication, and Sales - Serve as Initial primary contact with owners, adjusters, and consultants.

    You are the first response to job opportunities. It is your job to dispatch to a project, inspect & sign the job. You will call the customer typically before the mitigation is complete to introduce yourself and set up a site inspection to gather the necessary information pertaining to the reconstruction necessary to complete the project.

    Educate the customer on the processes of reconstruction, insurance process, job schedule and completion, and establish realistic expectations for the process.

    Scope development, negotiation and agreements with customers and adjusters.

    Create repair estimates using industry programs– Xactimate and Xactanalysis

    Consistently identify potential site hazards (asbestos, lead paint, mold, etc.).

    Must conduct oneself professionally and with courtesy at all times. Must be proactive conveying information and be immediately responsive to requests for information.

    Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices.

    Attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people's property and information.

    Work closely with all customers and adjusters to fulfill Excellent service experience.

    Ensure all communication between customer work partners is handled effectively using professional techniques and excellent communication so that all work provided by subcontractors or in-house employees meets or exceeds Company standards and creating return customers, not just of the customer, but the referring parties, insurance company etc.

    Ensure delivery of excellent customer service and communication.

    Customer inquiries/complaints are monitored, quickly acted upon, and properly recorded in Dash.

    Initiate all required contracts, authorizations, and other required documents with customers.

    Documentation of work flow process in job notes located in the project file in Dash, in a timely and accurate manner within the designed timeframes.

    Make calls daily and/or correspondence to customers and adjusters to collect balances owed.

    Work with coordinators, customers, and adjusters to resolve outstanding issues.

    Update customer files with payment and contact information.

    Arrange payment plans when necessary.

    Create and maintain good relationships with partners, vendors, insurance carriers, adjusters, supervisors, co-workers, and customers.

    Track and record incoming customer payments on your collections tracker.

    Work closely with Office Manager for all legal matters pertaining to past due customer accounts and property liens.

    Accountable for reducing delinquency of customer accounts.

    Create accurate floor plans in Xactimate Sketch.

    Residential/Multi-family estimating experience.

    Create and adhere to acceptable budgets and address overages as they present themselves.

    Independently manages own work.

    Make routine calls to customers to collect progress payments and final invoicing.

    Assist in pricing change orders and supplements.

    Complete all open items and supplements and supply info to the adjuster.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Assist in the development and continuing improvement efforts of the company.

    Comply with company and department policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.

    Attend sponsored operations and safety training courses as required.

    Qualifications:

    At least 3 years Xactimate estimating experience.

    Must use corporate standards for Xactimate estimates, proposals, etc.

    Extensive Customer Service experience.

    Microsoft office skills.

    Professional demeanor and appearance, excellent Telephone skills.

    Ability to work well with others, maintain professional interaction with co-workers and vendors.

    Project Scoping & Sales:

    Meeting adjusters on the job-site

    Delivering estimates and final billings

    Maintaining good reporting to know all work in process and that we are taking advantage of all opportunities to serve our clients.

    Post Production Responsibilities:

    Contact all customers to ensure that they are pleased with the project.

    Ensure that all invoices are prepared and processed quickly.

    Collect any outstanding payments as needed.

    Review project profitability to ensure we met our target of 50% GP.

    Hold a project debriefing to discuss how the project was handled and what should have been done differently to continuously enhance and improve processes within the company.
