We are currently looking for an outstanding ASSISTANT BUYER (BILINGUAL IN KOREAN) to join our growing team! POSITION PURPOSE: The Assistant Buyer will support seafood sourcing for resale to retailers, distributors, restaurants, and foodservice companies. Areas of responsibility will include sourcing, negotiations, launching new items, supplier relations and being a key resource for cross functional teams to achieve revenue and profitability objectives in a distributor business. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Planning and negotiating with potential suppliers and internal sales team to achieve inventory revenue, growth, and profitability objectives, applying the sourcing processes adopted by the company.
• Negotiating, executing, and monitoring contracts with suppliers
• Developing strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders such as category managers, sales associates, internal and external customers, and supplier decision makers.
• Ensuring the departments’ goals and objectives that drive cost savings/cost mitigation initiatives, increasing sales, reducing working capital are met.
• Identifying new suppliers for new and existing items including supplier relationship management.
• Evaluating financial implication of purchasing decisions and how these impact the business P&L, presenting recommendations to senior management.
• Developing and monitoring new opportunities. Reviewing and analyzing complex supplier proposals; making recommendations to senior management.

COMMUNCATION:

• Must be fully bilingual in Korean (read, write, speak)

LOCATION:

• LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY: LOS ANGELES, ORANGE COUNTY AREAS.

EXPERIENCE:

• Two to three years experience in purchasing, inventory, supply chain, and import/export management.

EDUCATION:

• REQUIRED : A four year college degree with minimum 3.20 GPA.
