  • Responsibilities

    Pacific Western Corporation is currently looking to hire an energetic Community Manager at one of our properties in San Diego. The ideal candidate must have excellent communications skills, a positive attitude be 100 % goal-oriented. He or she must be a team player to effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the property including team member’s daily activities, resident relations and resources of the property. The Community Manager provides ongoing training of staff members – conducts mock tours and phone calls with the leasing team, coaches, evaluates, and mentors daily. In addition to the leadership roles, the Community Manager will also be responsible for daily tasks on the property including physically inspecting interior and exterior of the property, enforcing community policies, posting rents, working with vendors, promptly addressing resident requests and concerns, and directing the maintenance team. Community Managers on our properties also assist prospective residents, conduct tours, and assist with the leasing process. We are looking for a team player with a positive outlook and committed to excellence in all aspects of managing a luxury apartment community.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED

    Minimum of 3 years of experience managing an apartment community

    Or minimum of 5 years in Assistant Community Manager/Property Mgt. Administrative role

    Must have experience in managing 4-8 staff members

    Able to motivate and influence staff and residents

    Possess excellent sales/closing techniques

    Accurately compose letters, emails and reports using proper business format

    Able to plan, organize and follow through on work

    Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations

    Observe all company procedures and safety rules

    Self-starter, friendly, personable, and professional demeanor always

    Demonstrate proficiency in software programs such as Microsoft Office and Onesite or similar program (s),

    Experience with bank deposits Final Accounting Statement process

    Experience with turnover process/Work Order process and follow through

    Extensive resident relations experience and conflict resolution a must!

    Experience with 55 plus communities is highly desirable
