Job description:

Ernst Manufacturing is hiring for a team lead position. We are needing an enthusiastic team player who is ready to work alongside shipping and packaging staff to help them excel. Leadership experience is a requirement. Bilingual skills (Spanish and English) are not required but would greatly help with this position. Computer skills required.

Packaging Supervisor

Shipping

Meet with inventory manager and look at schedule of orders to ship

Assign work to shippers

Track numbers, shipments, and speeds

Help ship orders when volume is heavy

Quote freight shipments with different carriers and schedule as needed

Evaluate processes and make suggestions to management for efficiency

Perform inventory on quarterly or 6 month schedule

Receiving

Receive inbound materials

Assign location on floor

Manage locations in Fishbowl

Packaging

Execute planned schedules to meet deadlines

Perform time studies and make sure numbers are recorded

Set quotas for jobs and packagers

Organization and evaluation of job set ups

Check quality of finished product to maintain accuracy

Evaluate processes and make suggestions to management for efficiency

Record instructions and photos for each packaging job

Supervision of employees

Scheduling and time off requests

Training, evaluations, record keeping and reporting
