_ SUMMARY_

Responsible for purchasing materials to ensure that the company's operational needs are met while marinating proper inventory levels.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Plans, issues, and controls purchase orders and coordinate material requirements to ensure controlled flow of inventory to meet sales requirements.

· Communicates with suppliers regarding schedule changes, delivery schedules and quality issues.

· Analyzes inventory levels and maintains buying forecasts for all products to achieve target inventory levels.

· Maintain system data accuracy of lead times and supply chain changes.

· Accurately manage cost data and vendor capacity to give best recommendations for supplier selection.

· Responsible for proactively tracking critical orders and follow-up on open orders.

· Execute expediting as needed and manage existing orders.

· Build positive relationships with suppliers and our branches to ensure our supply needs are met.

· Reviews MRP Planned requirements and implements supply plan for designated items/locations.

· Resolve product backlogs and drive actions for improvements. Perform root cause analysis for stock outs, missed inbound deliveries, and non-conforming products to proactively drive permanent solutions/processes.

· Performs additional duties and projects as assigned by the VP of Operations.

· REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement/Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role.
• Packaging distribution experience is preferred
• MRP experience a plus.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• problem solving and critical thinking skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines and thrive in a demanding environment.
