    How will you add value to the team?

    As an Account Executive you will be responsible for new business development and revenue growth, driving engagements from pipeline development to deal closure in an assigned geographic territory. This individual contributor will possess a strong competitive drive, a resiliency that allows them to learn from failure while always looking forward, a positive attitude and outlook that focuses on enjoying the journey and living the values of our organization, and a keen sense of curiosity to uncover every opportunity to drive growth for Packback.

    This role, one of the first hires in this newly formed team, will also be integral to helping us build out the sales playbook and firm up our on campus sales strategies. The AE will work with leadership to establish how we conduct territory research, generate effective daily plans, help design a customer funnel from first engagement to close, provide best practices on how we service and grow existing business, along with many other sales processes. You will also be a key partner to our internal stakeholders, providing feedback and insights on our go-to-market strategies, guiding our teams with your market knowledge to help refine the Packback products and message. This hire will be the on the ground representative of Packback, the frontline of the organization. Through these engagements and partnership with faculty, learners, and internal stakeholders, you will drive our mission of helping every learner develop their unique voice and the writing skills needed to express it.

    Typical responsibilities include:

    • Planning for Success and Growth
    • Plan, organize, and prioritize engagements/opportunities to achieve sales targets and goals.
    • Utilize database tools to develop and maintain engagements/opportunities for each institution in your assigned territory.
    • Create and implement strategic plans for engagements/opportunities through resource management and internal collaboration.
    • Develop product knowledge and digital skills for sales calls, presentations, and delivery of our digital solutions.
    • Provide support for instructors on their implementation of Packback’s learning technologies/solutions
    • Build itineraries and daily plans that effectively pursue territory priorities and optimize engagements/opportunities.
    • Delivering Growth and Improving Learning Experiences
    • Achieve and/or exceed sales targets and goals by promoting Packback’s learning technologies/solutions.
    • Schedule engagements with decision makers (faculty) to identify needs, propose solutions, and establish relationships.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and teams to deliver and improve Packback’s go-to-market strategies for their learning technologies/solutions
    • Partner with institutions and faculty to ensure successful implementation of Packback’s learning technologies/solutions.

    The intention of this role:

    Our intention is for you to become an expert on the Packback purpose, product, and build the foundations of professor relationships for our Revenue team as a whole. You will be a crucial part of Packback’s growth.

    We are building out a team that focuses primarily on committee-level and large scale adoptions of the Packback Platform. We need to build out a playbook and process to be scalable and replicable across our team.

    Success will be tracked and monitored with promotions every 2 campaigns (annually) upon successful attainment of goals.

    What you bring to the table:

    • You have 2-5 years of experience in a full-cycle education sales role, ideally within the edtech industry
    • You have experience selling to decision-making committees and can strategically navigate complex, political sales opportunities/engagements
    • A strong understanding of technology use and implementation in an educational environment, particularly with Learning Management Systems and curricula
    • A competitive drive and a track record of consistently achieving/surpassing sales goals
    • You’re resilient - you take calculated risks and fail forward, always learning and growing from your setbacks
    • A positive attitude and outlook on your work, and are a strong contributor to sustaining the culture of Packback
    • You’re fearlessly curious - willing to dive into problems, to be curious enough to discover the right opportunities to pursue, and pursue them with competitiveness, resiliency, and positivity
    • Passionate about education and providing research-backed, equitable, and accessible learning experiences for every learner
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, you are able to network and consult with all stakeholders of a higher education institution
    • You have the ability to travel with some overnight commitments on campus and in our Packback offices; must be able to travel by both automobile and plane
