Shifts:
A Crew (6:00am-6:00pm) rotating shifts 4 days one week / 3 days the next
B Crew (6:00am-6:00pm) rotating shifts 4 days one week / 3 days the next
Nights: 6:00am-6:00pm Monday-Saturday (60 hours a week)
Pay: $16.00
Job Summary: The Pack Team member is responsible for inspecting finished goods, ensuring they meet quality standards, and then carefully packing them for shipment. Attention to detail is essential, as you will be tasked with verifying product specifications, labeling packages, and preparing them for transport. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with other team members to maintain a smooth workflow and contribute to the overall success of our production operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Repetitively lift aluminum extrusions of lengths up to forty feet and weighing up to 50 pounds from metal basket carriers to packing conveyor
Gather all material needed for framing bundles, such as but not limited to tape, stretch wrap cardboard, paper, banding, etc.
Visually inspect metal while forming bundles looking for burrs, scratches, chips, gouges, dents, bubbles, die lines, etc.
Ensure all pieces meet or exceed customer specifications; contact foreman, supervisor or inspector for approval
Assemble bundles per foreman’s instructions utilizing packing materials to meet customer specifications. Record appropriate piece count or weigh count daily
Records time it takes to pack a bundle. Push baskets on wheels into or out of workstation
Carry scrap metal to scrap cart. Maintain a neat and orderly work area including general housekeeping of the work area upon completion of a repair
Assists with general housekeeping of the Shipping area
Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment
Consistently exhibits a positive, respectful attitude towards co-workers and customers
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available
