Job Overview Our plant in New Mexico is state of the art and we are preparing for a major expansion. We are seeking highly organized and versatile team members for the critical role of Packaging and Tester Operator. This position is a dual-responsibility role, combining the final steps of product handling with comprehensive quality verification of both materials and final products. The core function is to ensure every product leaving the plant meets our high standards for safety, quality, and preparation for delivery.
Duties:
l Packing and Preparation: Efficiently and accurately performing standard product packing procedures.
l Shipment Readiness: Organizing and preparing products for transport, including specialized basket packing for shipment.
l Product Testing: Conducting essential product testing and quality checks to verify all specifications are met before sealing.
The operator is ultimately responsible for guaranteeing that products are packed properly, fully quality-tested, and correctly prepared for shipment according to all company and customer standards.
Skills:
Packs materials into individual containers and baskets at tables or workstations, following specific order and shipping requirements.
Inspects products visually and through measurement, ensuring quality standards are maintained before packing or shipping.
Prepares baskets or containers of items for shipment, labeling and weighing, and ensures safe, secure packaging to minimize transit damage.
Completes all necessary shipping documentation, including packing lists, delivery notes, and shipping labels.
Maintains a clean, organized work area and follows safety protocols at all times.
Identifies and removes defective products, reporting issues to supervisors or the quality department.
Cooperates with other team members to meet daily packing, inspection, and shipping targets.
May assist in organizing materials and inventory for efficient workflow and monitor inventory levels for shortage or replenishment.
Tracks and records production and inspection results, contributing to the maintenance of quality standards throughout packing and shipping processes.
This integrated job responsibility helps streamline manufacturing and shipping operations by combining core duties of packing (both at table and for baskets), quality testing, and preparing products for delivery.
Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in a factory environment with exposure to noise and moving machinery.
