Phoenix Contents Restoration is looking for a Packout & Moving Team Lead to join our growing team.

We're not just hiring for a position — we're hiring for culture. If you show up on time, communicate well, take pride in your work, and hold a high standard, you'll fit in here.

We're looking for someone who can do more than move furniture. We need a leader who can take ownership of a jobsite, guide a crew, solve problems, and deliver an exceptional customer experience while helping families recover after fire, smoke, water, or mold damage.

This position is ideal for someone with moving, restoration, logistics, or leadership experience who enjoys physical work, working with people, and taking responsibility for getting the job done right.

    About the Work

    Every day is different.

Some mornings start at our warehouse, while others begin directly at a customer's home or business. Our team responds after fire, smoke, water, and mold losses to carefully pack, document, protect, move, and store customers' belongings while restoration work is completed.

As a Packout & Moving Team Lead, you'll be responsible for leading the physical packout and packback process from start to finish. You'll coordinate crew members, communicate with customers, make field decisions, and ensure contents are handled safely, efficiently, and professionally.

You'll be trusted to think independently, solve problems as they arise, and represent Phoenix Contents in people's homes during some of the most stressful situations they've ever experienced.

No two projects are the same. One day you may be leading a residential packout after a kitchen fire. The next day you could be onsite coordinating the logistics of a large commercial loss involving hundreds of inventoried items.

Success in this role requires physical stamina, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, leadership ability, and a customer-first mindset.

Some projects take place in asbestos-contaminated environments. You'll be sent to an Asbestos Certification Course (paid by the company) and assist with asbestos operations as needed. These jobs follow the same process as our normal contents work but require additional PPE. Asbestos work pays an additional $3/hour on top of your base rate.

    Responsibilities

Lead residential and commercial packout and packback projects

Direct crew members and maintain production throughout the day

Communicate professionally with customers, adjusters, contractors, and teammates

Make field decisions to keep projects moving safely and efficiently

Safely wrap, protect, move, load, transport, and store customer contents

Ensure contents are handled with care and returned in the same condition they were received

Maintain organization and accountability of inventoried contents

Complete projects within estimated labor and timeline expectations

Identify and solve jobsite challenges without constant supervision

Operate company vehicles, moving equipment, and tools safely

Keep trucks, equipment, and jobsites clean and professional

Train and mentor newer team members

Represent Phoenix Contents with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first attitude

    What Makes Someone Successful Here

You naturally take ownership of problems instead of waiting for someone else to solve them.

You communicate confidently with homeowners and keep them informed.

You stay calm under pressure and adapt when plans change.

You understand that protecting a customer's belongings is just as important as moving them.

You care about getting the job done right, not just getting it done.

    Qualifications

Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

Previous moving, restoration, construction, logistics, warehouse, or crew leadership experience preferred

Experience leading teams or supervising projects is strongly preferred

Ability to safely lift and move 75+ lbs regularly

Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment

Strong communication and customer service skills

    Dependable, organized, and self-motivated

Ability to learn inventory and documentation software (training provided)

Bilingual is a plus, but not required

    Work Schedule

    Monday-Friday (occasional weekends)

    Approximately 40 hours per week

    Why Phoenix Contents

We believe attitude matters, but leadership matters too.

We're looking for someone who wants to build a career, not just work a job. We invest heavily in our team and create opportunities for people who take ownership, lead well, and consistently deliver results.

Examples of how we've invested in our team include:

Training team members to become Asbestos Supervisors

Sending employees across the country for specialized contents training

Covering professional development and leadership training programs

    Providing in-house forklift certifications

Creating advancement opportunities into Lead, Supervisor, and Management roles

If you're the type of person who can walk onto a jobsite, earn a customer's trust, organize a crew, solve problems, and get the job done right—we want to talk with you.
