    Overview

    We are seeking a skilled Operator Specialist to join our team at our facility located in Frankfort, IL, 60423. As an Operator Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for applying Lean Manufacturing Principles, conducting Machine Safety Inspections, performing Machine Setups for Production Runs, and utilizing your Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills to maintain optimal productivity and efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    • Consistently and safely operates machines at or above standard levels of operation including waste, quality, efficiency and utilization.

    • Trouble shoot, identify and correct machine related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine.

    • Completes appropriate paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities.

    • Able to inspect and recognize defective product and make machine adjustments to correct cause of defects.

    • Observes all housekeeping, standard work, food safety, and personal safety guidelines.

    • Support maintenance team and department during line change over and start-up.

    • Perform quality inspections.

    • Provide coverage at the Packer and Operator level and should be able to cover multiple lines for short periods of time in order to cover for breaks or call-ins.

    • Maintain inventories of supplies.

    Qualifications

    • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing Principles, with a strong understanding of waste reduction, process optimization, and continuous improvement.

    • Experience in conducting Machine Safety Inspections and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

    • Demonstrated ability to perform Machine Setups for Production Runs, including equipment calibration and material preparation.

    • Excellent Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures accurately.

    • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and production demands.

    • High level of reliability, punctuality, and commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

    • Ability to understand and follow SWIS (Standard Work Instruction Sheets).

    • Ability to deal effectively and patiently with both leadership and hourly associates to assist in resolving issues.

    • Ability to work with others as well as being able to work alone.

    • Ability to set priorities and cope with several problems simultaneously.

    • Ability to work overtime as required.

    • Must be able to train others in proper operational procedures.

    Salary info:
