    Abacus Corporation – Orlando, FL
    Pay: $23.00–$27.00/hour (based on experience)
    Shift: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (hours may vary based on project needs)
    Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite

    Position Summary

    Abacus Corporation is hiring a Paint Logistics Associate to support scenic field operations in Orlando. This role combines logistics coordination and hands-on scenic painting work, ensuring materials are properly managed while contributing to the creation of high-quality themed environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and monitor storage, distribution, and movement of materials
    • Load, unload, and transport materials within yard and jobsite
    • Review purchase orders and shipping documents for accuracy
    • Maintain logs, inventory records, and material tracking
    • Resolve shipping, inventory, and logistics issues
    • Track project metrics including stock levels, delivery times, and efficiency
    • Assist with setup, prep, and cleanup of paint operations
    • Apply painting techniques including priming, base coating, textures, glazes, and clear coating
    • Operate tools and equipment such as spray guns, sanders, grinders, and power washers
    • Work with various coatings (urethane, oil-based, water-based, epoxies, etc.)
    • Assist with organization and maintenance of tools and workspaces
    • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations at all times

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 2+ years of logistics support experience
    • Experience with industrial or scenic painting techniques preferred
    • High school diploma or GED preferred
    • Strong organization and time management skills
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
    • Strong communication skills with team members and management
    • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
    • Willingness to learn new skills and techniques

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    • Field-based role with changing work environments
    • Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
    • May work at heights or around heavy equipment
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with assistance if needed)
    • Requires standing, walking, and physical mobility throughout shift
