Paint Systems Engineer
Location: Georgetown, KY
Job Overview:
This role involves sales and maintenance support for paint system applications, as well as the installation and modification of paint equipment.
The position will be based in our Georgetown office, with travel to customer and project sites. Travel may include locations in Indiana, Mississippi, Texas, Canada, Mexico, and Japan, and is expected to be approximately 25% to 30%.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate meetings and on-site inspections with customers regarding various equipment, including painting booths, ovens, conveyor systems, pre-treatment systems, and E-Coat systems.
Confirm customer requirements with the parent company.
Prepare proposals and specification reports for customers, primarily communicating in
English.
Request quotes from the parent company for design and parts procurement.
Obtain quotes from local vendors and subcontractors for parts supply, on-site
construction, and installation work.
Submit finalized quotes to customers.
Confirm specifications and equipment with customers.
Arrange shipping for equipment and production, ensuring cost control.
Develop installation instructions and manage scheduling for subcontractors at the
construction site.
Oversee equipment installation and construction projects at customer facilities.
Facilitate communication between customers and contractors to address project status
and concerns.
Create work completion reports.
Understanding of design technologies, including psychrometric charts, pressure loss in ducts and piping, and heat sources.
Basic knowledge of sheet metal work and material selection processes (bending, cutting, welding).
Equipment selection based on design conditions provided by the parent company, including pumps, fans, valves, and filters.
Additional duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management.
Collaborate with representatives from the parent company.
Open to training on in-house technologies.
Requirements:
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Willingness to travel (25%+)
Proficiency in Japanese is a plus
Flexible schedule, with the potential for night and weekend work
