Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Painter to join our growing construction team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience completing professional interior and exterior painting projects in commercial construction environments.
The successful candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, pays close attention to detail, works efficiently, and can complete projects safely and professionally while meeting project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Perform interior and exterior painting on commercial construction projects
Apply paint using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other appropriate equipment
Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, patching, and repairing as needed
Repair holes, cracks, dents, and surface imperfections using caulk, putty, plaster, or other materials
Mix, match, and blend paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains, and protective coatings
Identify appropriate materials and quantities needed for projects
Apply primers, coatings, and finish coats according to project specifications
Protect floors, fixtures, equipment, and surrounding surfaces during painting
Inspect completed work to ensure quality, consistency, and professional appearance
Correct drips, uneven coverage, imperfections, and other paint defects
Maintain and properly clean painting tools and equipment
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
Communicate project progress, material needs, and jobsite concerns to supervisors
Work effectively with other trades and construction team members
Follow project schedules and complete assigned work efficiently
Follow all company, OSHA, and jobsite safety requirements
Qualifications
Previous experience in residential or commercial painting and/or remodeling/home repair
Strong knowledge of commercial painting techniques and surface preparation
Ability to produce clean, professional, high-quality finishes
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and professionalism
Dependable, punctual, and committed to completing projects on schedule
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to travel throughout PA, NJ, and DE
Ability to safely lift and carry at least 20 pounds of equipment and materials
Comfortable working on ladders and elevated surfaces
Ability to perform physically demanding painting tasks for extended periods
