Role Overview: Located in the vibrant city of Charleston, SC, we're seeking a Director of Emergency Services to lead our Emergency Department towards excellence. This pivotal role focuses on service enhancement, development, efficient personnel management, and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive improvements and solutions within the service area.
- Engage in committees, fostering communication and collaboration.
- Enhance patient experience and engagement in the Emergency Department.
- Mentor and coach team members, facilitating their professional growth.
- Ensure adherence to HR policies and maintain high team morale.
- Promote evidence-based practices and foster a culture of excellence and safety.
- Develop and enforce emergency care standards, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Oversee patient care programs, aiming for the highest quality in line with the hospital's mission.
- Support talent acquisition to maintain a skilled workforce.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing. Master's preferred in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in emergency services and leadership.
- Required licenses: Registered Nurse, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and BLS.

- Directly reports to CNO with 5 managers as direct reports.
- The main ER features 44 beds, Level 2 Trauma, handling 160-190K patients annually.
- Manages 3 FSEDs with varying patient volumes, emphasizing a strong team engagement and patient care focus.
