    Role and Responsibilities: As a Registered Nurse in the Nursery, your primary responsibility is to provide specialized care to newborns and infants. You will direct ancillary personnel to implement the patient's plan of care and ensure a nurturing and safe environment. You will master the fundamental skills required in the nursery and may assume charge responsibilities when needed. Your practice will strictly adhere to the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for nurses, hospital policies and procedures, and Nursing Standards of Practice.

    Requirements:

    • Education: Ability to obtain and maintain a South Carolina Nursing License.
    • Experience: Previous experience in a nursery setting is preferred, showcasing your expertise in newborn care.
    • Certifications/Licenses:
      • Current South Carolina/Compact RN license.
      • BLS certification required before your first clinical shift (issued by the American Heart Association).
      • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification is preferred, demonstrating your commitment to neonatal care.
