About the Program: Our year-long StaRN Residency Program is designed to bridge the gap between academic training and real-world acute care nursing. We offer new graduates and nurses looking to re-enter acute care a structured blend of classroom instruction, hands-on simulation, and clinical preceptorship. This program focuses on Medical Surgical and Emergency Services, with positions offered based on hospital needs.
Program Structure:
- Part 1: StaRN Training (5-8 Weeks): Engage in instructor-led classroom training, high-fidelity simulations, and gain certifications. Enjoy a regular Monday-Friday schedule, working 40 hours per week.
- Part 2: Clinical Preceptorship (7-8 Weeks): Experience hands-on training at our hospital with a dedicated one-on-one preceptor, including customized coaching and regular development meetings.
- Part 3: Residency Program: Transition to your full-time role, continue professional development, and complete an evidence-based capstone project during your first year.
Requirements:
- Current South Carolina RN license or eligibility to obtain.
- Recent graduate from an accredited nursing school within the last year.
- Two-year full-time commitment to the hospital post-program.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
- Attendance is crucial throughout the program.
