Materials Coordinator (Part-Time)
Palmetto Renovations of Columbia, Inc. is a locally owned and operated Home Improvement Company dedicated to excellent customer service and quality work. We are seeking a Part-Time Materials Coordinator. Summary Coordinates and expedites flow of materials for multiple projects by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Reviews schedules and related information and confers with the Fulfillment Manager to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material. 2. Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to projects, according to job order priorities and material availability. 3. Examines material delivered to verify conformance to specifications. 4. Ensure material receipts are verified against purchase orders and material specifications, clarifying unclear items, and requesting alternative. 5. Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials. 6. Moves or transports materials to project sites as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does have supervisory responsibilities. Three (3) years of related work experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Excellent organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with others, oral and written. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Must be able to multi-task while maintaining complex schedules and easily adapt to a fast-paced environment. Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business. Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement. Strong work ethic to meet changes in responsibilities that will take place daily. Capacity to work independently and as a team player. Must represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times. Work Environment This job operates in a construction environment. This is a full-time position that may require weekend work or work after hours. Additionally, this position requires up to 100% local travel during the workday.
