    If this sounds like you – we want you part of our team! PTG is actively recruiting for a Staff Accountant.

    Reporting directly to the Controller, you will be responsible for performing daily accounting functions and assisting with the monthly close process.

    What you will do:

    • Management of the company’s Cash and Collections process for all business units, including processing cash receipts and monitoring accounts receivable outstanding.
    • Ongoing communication with the Controller on aged past due balances.
    • Managing procurement for all business units, including pricing comparisons and the ordering/receiving of products.
    • Prepare and process bi-weekly and monthly payroll.
    • Record and reconcile all credit card transactions.
    • Integration tasks as assigned to assist with acquisition activities.
    • Continuing to drive process improvements.
    • Other duties as required to meet the overall needs of the company.

    What it takes to be successful at PTG:

    • Self-motivated, creative out-of-the-box thinker that naturally pushes to constantly improve systems, processes, and procedures to minimize non-value-added activities.
    • Solution-oriented (i.e., get stuff done in a fast-paced, multi-location environment)
    • Tech-Savvy (strong ERP systems background; database knowledge helpful)
    • Superior organizational skills
    • Desire to get exposure to M&A
    • Hands-on experience with accounting software—Bill.com and Intacct are highly preferred.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with customer service focused aptitude.
    • Detail-oriented individual who’s a team player and highly self-motivated.

    Requirements:

    • BS/BA in Accounting or related field
    • Strong understanding of GAAP
    • Familiarity with Balance Sheets and Income Statements
    • 1 to 2 years’ experience preferred.
