    Job Description

    PALMS ESCROW INC IS LOOKING FOR AN ESCROW OFFICER TO JOIN OUR COMPANY. WE ARE BASED IN CHINO HILLS (POTENTIAL POSITIONS IN BREA AND WEST COVINA) AND WE ARE LOOKING FOR A HARD-WORKING, TALENTED INDIVIDUAL WHO IS INTERESTED IN WORKING WITH AN EVER-GROWING ESCROW COMPANY. THERE IS AMPLE OPPORTUNITY TO EARN ADDITIONAL INCOME OVER BASE EARNINGS THROUGH PERFORMANCE.

    SIGNING BONUS TO BE AWARDED AFTER 90 DAY PROBATION PERIOD. BONUS AMOUNT TO BE $8K-$15K, COMMENSURATE WITH QUALIFICATIONS, INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE AND PERFORMANCE. A SECONDARY BONUS WILL BE AWARDED AFTER ONE CALENDAR YEAR OF FULL EMPLOYMENT. SECONDARY BONUS AMOUNT WILL BE $10K-$15K, COMMENSURATE WITH QUALIFICATIONS, INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE, AND PERFORMANCE. ANNUAL BONUSES TO BE AVAILABLE AS WELL.

    POSITION

    Escrow Officer is responsible for customer care and proactive problem resolution on our files. Responsible for opening new escrows, coordinating all escrow activities and maintaining client relationships to build the company. Escrow Officer will lead their team, assist, train and assign duties to assistants and oversee all daily activities in their department as necessary to meet time deadlines. Escrow Officer must have outstanding communication skills, exceptional customer services abilities and industry software experience preferred.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Prefer at least 5 years escrow officer experience.

     

    DUTIES:

    · Manage the entire escrow process, including compliance with real estate contracts, lender instructions, title requirements, company requirements & any other written instructions

    · Process sales (all-cash and financed) and refis of homes and vacant land

    · For financed files, work with the lender to process the loan, prepare loan docs for signing, package signed loan docs, work with the lender to fund the loan and with title for recording of the deed of trust, grant deed, and other recordables

    · Perform work in a professional, accurate, and timely manner

    · Order title reports and resolve any title issues, existing liens and any encumbrances against the property or principals

    · Order loan payoffs and HOA docs in a timely manner

    · Comply with all regulatory requirements, especially in regards to trust accounting

    · Anticipate and exceed the expectations of both our existing clients along with any potential customers you engage with

    · Ensure closing dates are met by making sure all parties to the transaction complete and return escrow paperwork in a timely manner

    · Demonstrate a high level of integrity with an honest and organized work ethic

    · Working knowledge of escrow laws and processes

    · Ability to solve problems and resolve situations that could delay a closing

    · Perform under pressure, supersede deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail

    · All other duties as assigned

     

    Bilingual a plus

    Notary license a plus.

    Escrow certifications a plus

    Existing book of business highly preferred

    Ability to multitask and manage multiple transactions at once
