YOUR CAREER
As a Network Security Architect you will be responsible for building Palo Alto's network security architectures across our product lines today and in the future. A Network Security Architect will be required to engage with key stakeholders, gathering technical requirements, creating evaluation test plans, and documenting technical content. A key goal is to build architectural guidance which guides Palo Alto Networks Systems Engineers, Partners and Customers when they are designing security solutions.
This Network Security Architect is focused on the completed product offering in the security space, with a focus of integrating Palo Alto Networks and where required technology partner solutions. It will require a candidate with a broad understanding of the security practices and a proven ability to be creative during the problem discovery and solving approach to enable Palo Alto to deliver on a solution development approach to solving security use cases.
YOUR IMPACT
Working with product management, sales, and marketing, owning the creation of Reference Architectures that describe how the Palo Alto Networks products work together to solve customer business problems.
Create network security content that helps sales and partners effectively position and sell use-case based solutions with an architectural approach.
Work with Engineering to understand the product and technology roadmaps and how they will bring value to customers through use case development.
Build and maintain a use case validation lab.
Provide education and knowledge transfer to the sales engineers through content development and internal presentations.
Collaborate with product marketing and product management teams to define customer requirements for network security architectures.
Responsible for upholding Palo Alto Networks Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
Performs other related duties and projects as needed.
Qualifications
YOUR EXPERIENCE
5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting security and networking solutions.
Experience authoring technical documentation is required.
Experience with any of the cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud preferred.
Hands on experience building lab test environments and troubleshooting network infrastructure and security products.
Demonstrable experience with designing solutions with emerging technologies. The ability to quickly learn something new and apply to a solution is critical.
Be able to translate technology into business benefits that resonate with customers.
Experience with customers in the Healthcare, Retail and/or Financial Services verticals.
Be a good storyteller. The ability to communicate that story verbally and in writing.
Must be self-motivated.
