As the Professional Services Manager you will lead a Professional Services team consisting of directly managed, subcontract and/or assigned personnel supporting the assigned customers. The PSM will be responsible for leading this team to deliver high quality security solutions while managing to the business goals of the Professional Services organization. This role is highly integrated with the sales team building strong and trusted customer relationships to ensure successful customer outcomes. The PSM engages with peers to improve existing services as well as to champion new services that strengthen our client’s security posture. This is a highly engaging role that will require thought leadership, creative ideas, leadership, and technical capabilities.
YOUR IMPACT
Serve as the Professional Services central point of contact for the customer to ensure services delivery meets or exceed customer expectations
Facilitate a customer approach across all Global Customer Service (GCS) teams
Ensure customer technical requirements are understood and clear to the team to help enable customer knowledge and build trusted relationships
Collaborate with sales team on customer negotiations when needed, act as liaison to help enable client and sales
Staffing the appropriately skilled resource(s) to accomplish quarterly goals
Participate in Quarterly Service Reviews (QSR)
Responsible for responding to Customer feedback about you and your team’s performance
Identify gaps and develop corrective plans as and when needed, help implement corrective plans to ensure customer satisfaction
Provide status to the Customer, Account Team and Services leadership team on all major activities, issues, and critical issues
Talk to the partners as necessary to drive team alignment and focus, ensuring customer success
Lead the operational activities related to defined business goals such as: team utilization, forecasting revenue, reviewing and approving timesheets and expenses
Provide input regarding the technical development of the Professional Services product offerings
Provide strategic direction/input to the technical and professional development of the team members
Handle the daily activities of your team such as hiring, promotions, time off, training, and disciplinary actions
Qualifications
YOUR EXPERIENCE
You have an undergraduate degree in a related field (CS, IS, EE, CE, IT, etc.) or commensurate experience
Minimum 5 year's managing teams of 10 or more technical consultants
You have strong high-level technical knowledge of internet security concepts, products, and implementations, and can communicate that knowledge to individuals without technical experience
You’ve proven leadership ability, cross-functional collaboration and team building capabilities
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
30%+ travel is required to customer site as well as internal business meetings
You have a minimum of 7 years of building Internet security solutions at enterprise customers
You have experience with managing the full project lifecycle from pre-sales/Statement of Work development to project closeout
You possess industry certifications such as CISSP, PMP and/or vendor specific (e.g. Juniper/Cisco)
