    YOUR CAREER

    As a Unit 42 Security Architect, you will drive technical sales engagements by being the expert for our Unit 42’s core suite of services including incident response investigations, cyber risk management and digital forensics. 

    Services will primarily include information security and cyber risk management consulting services, breach readiness, incident response program consulting, offensive security testing and vCISO advisory services. The role is focused on collaborating with new and existing Palo Alto clients to enhance their overall security posture.  The role requires knowledge and understanding of client business opportunities,  technical challenges, and being able to build deep and strong relationships with Palo Alto sales teams and their clients to propose solutions and bring deals to contract closure.

    You are the “go to” resource for Unit 42 related customer interactions.  Your role is one of technical prowess, scoping proactive engagements, and crafting persuasive proposals and corresponding statements of work. 

    This position is full-time and can be remote. 

    YOUR IMPACT

    • Supporting existing Palo Alto clients leveraging Unit 42 suite of services
    • Collaborate with Palo Alto Sales teams and their clients to understand the client’s needs and develop solutions leveraging Unit 42’s professional services team
    • Present to customers as the Unit 42 expert, with astute ability to communicate to both hands-on practitioners and senior executives
    • Discuss, with credibility, competitive offers in the marketplace and position our team as the best alternative
    • Work with the Unit 42 Professional Services Team to understand its core services and develop thoughtful strategies, compelling proposals, and targeted scopes of work that benefit existing clients and align with their information security roadmap
    • As the team grows, assist in the training and onboarding of new Unit 42 Security Architects and Sales Account Managers
    • Continuously collaborate with Unit 42 Professional Services Proactive team members on engagement methodologies to maintain alignment on what is presented to customer correlates with our delivery team’s current capabilities
    • Immediately build rapport with Unit 42 Proactive Team members to understand individual and group skill sets that would be presented as the delivery team for proposed engagements

    YOUR EXPERIENCE

    • 4+ years of technical hands-on experience with scoping, leading, or contributing to global proactive security engagements, including risk assessments, security program development, and technical control implementations
    • Solid grasp of domestic and global cybersecurity regulations, industry leading practices from NIST, ISO, DISA, CSA, etc.

    One or both of the following:

    • 4+ years of experience as a pre-sale engineer interfacing with customers; Experience building proposals that highlight the distinctive security capabilities of proactive services and corresponding benefits the customer would realize
    • 5+ years of experience as a security architect, security engineer, or security consultant with experience building and leading programs across the wide array of the people, processes, and technology required to improve an organization’s security posture  
    • Professional services consulting experience in an advisory capacity with business development contributions as key success criteria
    • Advanced knowledge of web threats and cybercrime
    • Experience presenting cybersecurity projects to a board and senior level audience (Fortune 500 or Global 2000 preferred)
    • Demonstrable experience in securing enterprise environments
    • Working knowledge of endpoint prevention, SIEM, vulnerability management tools, SOC, firewalls, and other security technologies both from a technology and a business driver standpoint
    • Experience with Incident Response; both IR tools and IR workflow process
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbally and written
    • Familiar working with Channel partners and have an understanding of a channel centric go-to-market approach

If hired in Colorado, this position starts at $203,000/yr. Depending on the position offered, restricted stock units and incentive or bonus pay may be provided as part of this compensation package.
