YOUR CAREER
We are seeking a driven problem solver to join our Security Operations team. Our Security Operations Center (SOC) is responsible for Palo Alto Networks’ own internal security monitoring, threat hunting and incident response. We act as a model for our customers who want to build a lean, mean, automated threat hunting machine. As a Jr. SOC Engineer, we will rely on you to detect and respond to cyber incidents facing our internal business.
The ideal candidate is a quick learner and good communicator who will be able to follow established processes for analyzing threat alerts that fire from our SIEM. The candidate should be a creative thinker who takes pride in solving tough problems.

Analyze threat alerts in the SOC, using our own security products
Perform weekly threat hunting assignments, in an effort to find threats missed by technology
Help improve Palo Alto Networks’ products
Qualifications
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Working towards a Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar degree.
Able to demonstrate and articulate past research or activities indicating interest and work in at least one of the subject areas above.
Knowledge of the functionality and capabilities of computer network defense technologies is a plus but not required (including firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and Web content filtering)

REQUIREMENTS – TO APPLY, YOU MUST BE PURSUING A 4-YEAR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE, A 2-YEAR MASTER’S DEGREE OR A DOCTORATE DEGREE AND RETURNING TO SCHOOL IN THE FALL. YOU MUST HAVE THE AUTHORIZATION TO WORK WITHIN THE UNITED STATES.
THE TEAM
The InfoSec team is responsible for architecting, designing and deploying security solutions using Palo Alto Networks platform components and third-party tools to mitigate threats, monitor corporate systems, and conduct incident response.
