As a key member of Layer 7 Security group, you will be responsible for:

    • Design and develop advanced security features on the next-generation firewalls
    • Building highly scalable real time end to end cloud security solutions
    • Design and implement effective and serviceable modules across PanOS.
    • Utilize your programming skills to produce efficient, robust and secure implementation
    • Interact with support teams throughout the entire software development cycle

    Your Impact

    • Innovate, design, and develop new security features in our next-generation firewall product
    • Contribute in all phases of the product development cycle, from definition, design, through implementation and verification
    • Utilize robust development methodologies to address new product features, with a high focus on quality and execution
    • Develop functional specifications, assess task requirements and scheduling, and assist in development, testing and sustaining.
    • Effective communication of goals and desired outcomes to internal project teams
    • Leadership in mentorship and coaching for new team members
    • Suggest and implement improvements to the development process
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Your Experience

    • B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science, similar technical discipline with 10+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent practical experience or equivalent military experience required
    • Highly Proficient in the C programming language and familiarity with Unix/Linux software development environment
    • Hands-on experience with networking protocols and network security technologies
    • Expertise of multi-core / multi-process / multi-threaded programming
    • Strong understanding of TCP/IP internals and common data structure and algorithms
    • Solid communication skills and bring a can-do attitude to a dynamic working environment
    • Experience with large-scale and high-performance software design and development is preferred
    • Experience with cloud orchestration and containerized deployment is preferred
    • Experience with golang programming and python software development is preferred
    • Experience with TLS internals, cryptography, and OpenSSL is preferred
    • Experience with HTTP and web server backend development is preferred

    The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $170,000/yr to $275,000/yr.
