YOUR CAREER

The Reference Architect is focused on the completed product offering in the security space, integrating Palo Alto Networks and technology partner solutions.  You will bring a broad understanding of security practices and a proven ability to be creative during the problem discovery, to enable Palo Alto to deliver on a solution development approach in solving security use cases.

YOUR IMPACT

• Work with product management, sales, and marketing in owning the creation of Reference Architectures that describe how the Palo Alto Networks products work together to solve customer business problems.
• Assist sales engineering in developing, presenting, and selling complex security architectures using the Palo Alto Networks Reference Architecture.
• Develop collateral for sales engineers that help partners and customers understand the value that Palo Alto Networks solutions bring to their network in an Architectural approach.
• Leverage product/architecture subject matter expertise to convey benefits and positions to sales engineers, marketing, and product development.
• Provide education and knowledge transfer to the sales engineers through content development and internal presentations.
• Collaborate with product marketing and product management teams to define customer requirements for the architecture.

Qualifications

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• A proven track record authoring and publishing technical content
• In-depth knowledge of security, public cloud or networking technologies, with a proven track recording solutions related to the security industry and related fields
• Experience designing solutions and integrating emerging technologies, with the ability to quickly learn something new and apply to a solution
• Self-motivated with strong problem finding and solving skills, ability to analyze complex multivariate problems and use a systematic approach to gain quick resolution, even under duress
• BSCS or equivalent preferred, with 8+ years of experience as an SE, Consulting SE or Integrator
• Experience working with/for companies in the enterprise networking security industry preferred
