As a Prisma Cloud Channel Systems Engineering Manager (SEM), you will build and lead a team of Channel SEs to actively interface with our partner ecosystem. You will be a critical part of the sales team; you will be responsible for building solutions to enable the partner, work with our partners to build a strong Cloud Native Security practice, align and build relationships between the partner and the Prisma Cloud team, and finally build joint value by demonstrating the partner’s strengths. You will be instrumental in helping and coaching partners to identify complex security challenges around cloud deployments and drive solutions using our market leading Prisma Cloud security platform. You will have specific recruitment, enablement, training and communication objectives aligned with the objectives of the company.
Your relationships with partners will enable them help our mutual customers detect and prevent advanced cyberattacks and breaches by being their resource for all elements of the public cloud environment security environment, providing expertise for Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud (GCP), other Public Clouds, Devops & Compute security i.e. containers, serverless frameworks, API security, web application security, cloud infrastructure entitlement management and hosts. Your technical sales leadership will drive confidence in our solutions, ultimately setting our partners up for success. You’ll be working with all levels of large partner organizations with a focus on developing partnerships based on a long term, “outcome where everybody wins” strategy.

Participate in partner business planning activities by supporting the development and execution of the partner technical business plan
Facilitate the planning and preparation of partner Sales Engineers (SEs) in achieving Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud and industry certifications
Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to our partners working with your Channel Business Managers
Strategically position the Prisma Cloud Solution with channel partners
Provide technical enablement and training to strategic/national/international partners
Recruit and hire new channel systems engineers, hiring the best talent in the industry
Oversee partner pre-sales activities, including competitive analysis, test plans, demos, proofs of concept, and RFPs
Cross-communicate Palo Alto Networks/Prisma Cloud and partner value propositions, especially between partner and Prisma Cloud field SEs
Understand and effectively present the Prisma Cloud Security Platform
Create, execute, and review a technical readiness plan with the CBM/regional sales team, including measurable achievements to track progress
Provide localized technical training to partner’s pre-sales technical resources
Facilitate / Support product/service training of the partner sales teams
Educate and promote the use of the Prisma Cloud support model and effective use of available resources
Collaborate with the CBM/regional sales teams on the development and management of the channel partner business plan and mutual action plans
Act as the Partner advocate for any issues that require technical assistance and follow up with the partner until the issue is resolved
Understand and communicate the business advantages of a partnership with Palo Alto Networks
Develop a strong understanding of Prisma Cloud’s channel partner objectives
Qualifications
YOUR EXPERIENCE
BSCS or equivalent with 8+ years of experience as a system engineer manger, solutions architect, or systems integrator
General understanding of local/national/international partner community, technology trends, and competitive landscape
Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud deployment and administration
Experience designing and implementing cloud native security services in Public cloud environments.
Understanding of Public Cloud API based security and compliance standards
Good understanding of evolving compute solutions such as VM’s, Containers, Container On Demand and Serverless
Understanding of Web Application Firewalls, DDOS & botnets will be advantageous
Comfortable with the main Linux distros as well as a solid understanding of various runtime environments including Docker / CRI-O / rkt
Hands-on experience on Kubernetes platform to deploy and manage microservices and integrating with service-mesh (Istio).
Good understanding & expertise of IAC (CFT / Ansible / Terraform), CI/CD (Jenkins / Bamboo / CICircle etc.) tools, Code Repos (Github, Bitbucket etc), Repository (Jfrog Artifactory, Redhat Quay, Docker Hub, AWS ECR etc).
Programming experience in a higher-level language such as NodeJS, Ruby, Chef, Puppet, YAML, JSON, and/or Python is desirable and will be an added advantage
Experience in DevOps will be an added advantage
Experience working with Channel partners and understanding of a channel centric go to market approach
Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex multivariate problems and find a systematic approach to gain a quick resolution, often under stress
Mature and effective time-management skills
Open to travel up to 50% of the time as appropriate
